In this workshop we presented different ways of product improvement by doing the next step inside a value chain by ourselves. By this little step, for example as a member of a small, local production cooperative, our farmers could easily increase their income.\u00a0<\/div>\n
We presented our new and professional oilmill from the German company \u00d6LWERK.<\/div>\n
Dr. Edu Muhammad (owner) and Dr. Mawuli (lecturer at the Cape Coast University) and the team from the EDHEC (Edu Herbal Clinic) from our neighbour village Baifikrom presented their products and we produced the famous BE STRONG tonic together. After milling, boiling and filtering everybody was curious to test the herbal liquid to become strong again after our fruitful workshop.<\/div>\n

One of our technology steps into the DIVAGRI future is biorefinery. Originally, ethanol was intended to be produced as the end result of a refinery process. We want to align our activities even more deeply with the medical process and have therefore started a cooperation with the EDU HERBAL CLINIC in Baifikrom, which has cross-generational experience in the production of natural essences from local plants and their use. In Ghana, the cultivation of medicinal plants has always been part of the life of small-scale farmers.<\/p>\n

The small scale farmers can be involved in the process of growing medicinal plants and at the same time experience the entire value chain from the simple medicinal plant to the highly refined and high-priced end product with profit sharing opportunities at various points in the production chain.<\/p>\n
